Information and advice are fundamentally important, they enable informed choices and decisions to be made based on reliable, impartial and independent information.
Age Concern Isle of Wight can help get you the right information and advice on a wide range of issues. We’ll provide you with the facts so you can make choices and decisions knowing you have reliable information. Our specialist team can provide you with information on:
* Welfare/Disability Benefits and Entitlements (see Welfare Benefits Service)
* Housing issues
* Health and social care, including residential care
* Leisure and social activities
* Family and personal matters
* Your rights to local services
* And most other things that affect your quality of life.
If we can’t help we can put you in touch with people who can.
This is a confidential service, and we will not pass on your information to anyone without your permission.

There is no charge for this service.
What to do next?
Our Information & Advice Surgeries are held:
Tuesday from 2 to 4pm
Wednesday from 10am to 1pm
All other enquiries will be dealt with by appointment only, or if the client cannot get into our Newport offices, by home visit. Outside of the drop-in surgeries, people needing the help of the Information & Advice Team should ring the office on weekday mornings when a member of staff, or volunteer should be available to take the enquiry.
