Do you have a problem that is worrying you, and you don’t know where to turn?
An advocate from Age Concern Isle of Wight may be able to help you.
An advocate is a volunteer who:
How the Service Works:
After an initial assessment the Advocacy Co-ordinator will allocate an advocate for the issue(s) involved. Advocacy volunteers are trained and fully supported by the Advocacy Service.
An advocate will help you until:
You both agree that the problem has been sorted out to your satisfaction or until there in nothing more that an advocate can help you with. The Service aims to cover the whole of the Isle of Wight and will visit you in your own home. They can also arrange to see you in a day centre, residential or nursing home or in hospital.
The Service is free of charge and confidential.
